emofi

Installation, 2018

Emofi is an exhibition of a fictional history of a technology product.

According to the project's narrative, the "emofi" is the brainchild of Marshall Kaiser, a developer who essentially wanted to create a girlfriend without having to deal with actual humans. His idea of a voice controlled emotional assistant manifested in a working prototype device which reacts to the phrase "I love you".

I exhibit this device as a potential product that never was but for sure has been contemplated by some people at some point. Another part of the work is a informational display about the "emofi" and it's creator.
